I like to think that we should always be striving forward. We should always be trying to be better than we were yesterday. Because of this I think we need to constantly be reimagining education. However, as things currently stand in BC I think that we need to first make sure everyone is caught up with what we have currently. Many teachers still rely on the old ways when so many new ones are being developed. One of the main reasons for this though is that change is a lot of work. It takes a lot of work to overhaul something that you have slowly accumulated over decades and it can feel like a waste. Additionally, there is a monetary obstacle, teachers have to spend a lot money on their resources so gathering a whole new array of them can be impossible for some teachers.

That being said, I think that an extremely valuable thing for such teachers to reconsider is their learning plan. Though some of the older teachers may not have considered it but a learning plan is a long term plan for instruction and assessment, something that any full time teacher worth the name has in some regard, either mentally or physically. Reconsidering this into a more flexible form will allow teachers to change their pedagogy in a much easier way. Additionally, having a creative commons, a place where creators of all kinds can gather and share resources exposes both new and rigid teachers to new thinking in a casual setting and bounce ideas off of each other.
